I was invited to collaborate with Hathersage Social Club located in the beautiful Peak District for a 3 night Middle Eastern Food experience. So I thought I would feature a few players from the abundant array of dishes that make up a Lebanese menu. A few of the winners were baba gannoush, zaatar flatbreads, kibbeh, Ruz bi Jaj (Rice & Chicken) amoung other delights such as Jo's Pistachio & feta dip and Cardamon poached pears.

I felt honoured to share some of my food heritage in the middle of the English countryside next to a delightful trickling stream. After a few days of working with their fabulous and enthusiastic team it became apparent why HSC is a success on so many levels. Their warm hospitality is carried through their service, food and ambience they have worked so hard to create - synonymous with Middle Eastern culture, I felt right at home!

Another collaboration may be on the cards soon, so watch this space...!

In the meantime, here is a brief overview to some of the food we served - I would highly recommend going to any one of their events, they are well worth it, but hey...why dont you see for yourself?
